Dollywood in Pigeon Forge

Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Dollywood is one of Pigeon Forge’s most iconic attractions. The 160-acre theme park combines thrilling rides, live entertainment, Southern-inspired dining, Appalachian craftsmanship and seasonal festivals with the heart and spirit of East Tennessee.

Whether you’re visiting for the roller coasters, planning a family vacation, looking for live entertainment or hoping to experience one of Dollywood’s seasonal festivals, there’s something to discover throughout the park.

About Dollywood

Dollywood opened in Pigeon Forge in 1986 when East Tennessee native Dolly Parton partnered with Herschend Family Enterprises to transform the former Silver Dollar City into the park known today as Dollywood.

The park’s roots stretch back even further. The property first welcomed visitors as Rebel Railroad in 1961 before becoming Goldrush Junction, then Silver Dollar City and eventually Dollywood. Today, Dollywood continues to celebrate the music, craftsmanship, traditions and natural beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Dollywood offers more than 50 rides and attractions along with live shows, dining, shopping, demonstrations by master craftsmen and special events throughout the year.
