This list isn’t in any particular order, except alphabetical, and each park will be analyzed based on location, amenities, and special perks.

 

Camp RiversLanding

Amenities at Camp RiversLanding include: WiFi, dog park, game room, pool, playground, 3 Trolley Stops, basketball courts, and so much more! The pool is open Spring through Fall (from mid-March until November) from 9 am till dark. There is an adjoining bathhouse and kiddie pool. One of the best ways to have a day of fun is to get a tube and ride down the rapids. Kids and adults alike love to ride the long stretch of the river in front of the campground. And if you are feeling adventurous you can go even farther! Inner tubes are available in the Camp Riverslanding Trading Post.

Alpine Hideaway Campground

Alpine Hideaway Campground is excited for you to experience a truly beautiful RV park in the Great Smoky Mountains. Alpine Hideaway is proud to announce the completion of the new bath house and laundry facilities. The new bath house features four individual suites along with the attached bath house. This park is situated between two mountains with plenty of trees for shade. You will feel like you’re miles away in the quiet mountains yet within walking distance to the parkway and trolley stops.

For your family’s enjoyment, they offer a beautiful salt water pool to relax by or just cool off. There is a great family friendly playground and other games available for check out in the office. Alpine Hideaway also offers camping cabins and on-site RV rentals.

Foothills RV Park & Cabins

Location: 4235 Huskey Street, Pigeon Forge, TN, 37863.

The park has plenty of amenities for the family, including a heated outdoor swimming pool, a laundry room, and a bathhouse. A trolley stop is found directly on site, so visitors can park and ride wherever they desire. The site offers 37 full hookups with 30/50 amps; visitors can also enjoy cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Decks overlooking mountain views are found on-site as well, complete with picnic tables for a family meal.

The park offers a wide range of different cabin rentals, including a-frame cabins, log cabins, and camping cabins. The cabins each have unique offerings, but all feature heat and air condition, color cable TVs, charcoal grills, and picnic tables.

Located right off the Parkway on Dollywood Lane, this campsite is under five minutes from the Island, Dollywood, and all the shopping and amusements you could want. There’s also a walking trail that takes you to Patriot Park, adjacent to the Old Mill.

Campers will find that they can enjoy a wide range of activities without ever having to leave the campground. Unlike many campgrounds, KOA has planned activities for kids such as games, movies on their outdoor cinema, crafting, and more. You’ll find tons of unique amenities at the park, such as a disc golf course, rent-able bicycles, the fun trail, a gem mine, a gaga pit (a kind of modern dodgeball), horseshoes, cornhole, tetherball, a lazy river, hot tub, the jumping pillow, and an on-site café!

The campground offers campsites for tents as well as camping cabins and RV campsites. A river runs along the back end of the campsite, and visitors can enjoy fishing along the river or take advantage of the on-site put-in and take-out for private boaters and fishermen. The site also includes laundry facilities, a general store, and a 4 ft. swimming pool.

When you stay here, you’re right next to outdoor action, having easy access to whitewater rafting, ziplines, and horseback riding; in addition, the campsite offers free Wi-Fi, horseshoes, and a sand volleyball court. The campground sits at the intersection of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Cherokee National Forest, and the Pisgah National Forest.

Riverside RV Park and Resort

Sitting at a curving bend of the West Prong Little Pigeon River, Riverside RV Park & Resort is found in Sevierville about one minute away from Smoky Mountain Knifeworks.
