As the holidays are coming around the corner, tourists will make their way to The Great Smoky Mountains looking for events, things to do, and so much more. Visitors love the fall colors, shopping, and fun events that take place in Pigeon Forge. We’ve compiled a list of events and things to do all November long for you and your family! So pack the car, and head to The Smokies for a Fall family getaway!

31st Annual Winterfest
With more than 5 million holiday lights, Pigeon Forge transforms into a winter wonderland for all tourists and locals to admire! The season long event will begin on November 15th and continue through February 15th. From winter light displays to captivating holiday shows and so much more, here are just a few of the fun ways you can experience the delightful Smoky Mountain Winterfest Celebration.
Pigeon Forge Driving Tour of Lights
The fan favorite trolley tours during the annual Winterfest celebration is back and will run from November 13th to February 15th, 2021. Your family can experience al the incredible sights of the Winterfest lights throughout Pigeon Forge on the enclosed trolleys!
Gatlinburg Winter Magic Trolley Ride of Lights
The winter season in Gatlinburg is always a magical scene with beautiful lights and the surrounding Smoky Mountains. From November 12th to January 2021, you can enjoy a relaxing ride on the Gatlinburg Trolley to see the lights. You’ll explore all the sights of downtown Gatlinburg and the adjacent Highway 321.
Christmas Shows
Dolly Parton’s Stampede will begins their Christmas season on November 3rd through January 2nd. Snow falls softly as the breathtaking scenes fill you with tidings of good cheer. The Stampede arena is magically transformed into a true fantasyland complete with twinkling lights, evergreens, poinsettias, old-fashioned holiday costumes and familiar holiday music. Don’t forget to come hungry and enjoy the four- course feast!
Country Tonite will begin their Christmas show on November 1st and run through January 2nd. The stage will turn into a winter wonderland and the cast of talented singers and performers will cover all of your holiday favorites! You’ll also see some special guest performers including: Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus, and everyone’s favorite ballerina in the dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. This is the perfect show to get you in the Christmas spirit!
Great Tanger Friday & After Thanksgiving Sales at Tanger Outlets
The perfect place to shop during Black Friday and the holiday season is Tanger Outlets?! Great Tanger Friday & After Thanksgiving Sales begin November 27th and go through November 29th. Tanger Outlets in Sevierville will begin the sweetest deals after Thanksgiving starting at 6:00 AM. All deals will continue into the weekend to kick off the Christmas Season!
Fall Foliage
When the leaves change colors, there’s one perfect way to see the magnificent mountains. Whether your on a family hike or taking a ride with Pink Jeep Tours, there’s so many ways to see the beautiful colors! Check out these places to see the foliage at it’s peak during this season!
Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas 
Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountains Christmas runs from November 7th to January 2nd. See stunning light displays and experience the Christmas cheer spread all throughout Dollywood. A NEW tradition is coming this year! “Merry & Bright” fireworks will light up the sky every Friday and Saturday night along with Christmas songs. Guest favorites “Christmas In The Smokies,” “Kingdom Heirs Christmas” and more return with daily shows performed indoors with reduced capacity.
A NEW show this year, Heart of the Holidays, will feature extended members of Dolly Parton’s family as they share stories and songs from the new Christmas album!
Anakeesta
There’s no better views of the gorgeous fall colors than at Anakeesta Mountain in Gatlinburg! Enjoy the scenic ride up the mountain on their Chondolas or check out their Ridge Ramblers. Once you reach the top of the mountain you’ll see shops, attractions, and even many options for a great meal! Take a ride on the Rail Runner or Dueling Ziplines!
