The Chondola is no longer the only way to access Anakeesta. Experience a unique forested ride to the top of the mountain via these 45 passenger military trucks! In addition to the one-of-a-kind Chondola, guests will now be able to reach Anakeesta Mountain with an immersive adventure trek through the forest.
How much does it cost?
At no extra cost for admission, guests can board the Ridge Ramblers at the Chondola base station. You can also enjoy a scenic ride along a forested road to the summit of Anakeesta.
What can I expect?
Each Ridge Rambler will feature a guided tour, where you will learn fun facts about the animals, forest, and plant life of the Great Smoky Mountains and also a preview the fun day to be had at Anakeesta. These trucks are a whopping 17 tons of fun! Each Ridge Rambler will hold 45 passengers, 35 feet long, and nearly 14 feet tall!
“We are always looking at how to improve the guest experience at Anakeesta,’ said Bob Bentz, Managing Partner. ”The Ridge Rambler will transport guests that may not want to ride the Chondola or are seeking an adventurous ride through a scenic forested area of our 70-acre park.” “In fact, Bentz went on to say, “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if guests spot a few bears along the way.”
