Places to eat that are open for Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holiday
Sometimes you just want to enjoy the holidays without the extra time in the kitchen, and especially not having to clean up afterwards. Who wants to spend their time cooking and cleaning while the rest of the family is playing games, watching the big game on tv, or just sharing stories and making memories? Nobody, that’s who!
You are not the only one that shares these feelings and this is why many restaurants keep their doors open for Thanksgiving and the Holiday season. Here are some of our favorite places to bond, eat, and just enjoy the holiday without the hassle of cooking and cleaning.
1. Dolly Parton’s Stampede
(Open – Normal Hours)
Dig into a true Southern meal while enjoying the famous Dolly Parton’s Stampede show. Packed with riding tricks, live nativity, and of course, holiday music to sing along to. Best of all, they have the holiday meal perfect for your tastebuds.
Treat your tongue to Dolly Parton’s four-course feast that includes their famous creamy vegetable soup, biscuits, a perfectly roasted rotisserie chicken, BBQ’d pork loin, corn on the cob, potatoes, and their own specialty dessert.
Nothing could be better than a true Southern feast with your family as you cheer along with Dolly Parton’s Stampedes’ entertainers, sing along to their songs, and get engulfed in the holiday spirit with their popular Holiday festivities.
2. Mama’s Farmhouse
(Open – 11am to 9PM)
There is nothing better than a home cooked meal from a restaurant that is famous for their home cooking. Mama’s Farmhouse is known for their good ole’ downhome country cooking that would please and finicky eater.
Check out their menu packed with Fried Chicken, Meatloaf, Honey-glazed Ham, and even better, their famous Turkey N’ Stuffing. Each bite will transport you back to the days of your youth and, could even, have grandma asking for the recipe.
Even better, Mama’s Farmhouse can cater your larger family gatherings. With accommodations that can fit up to 92 people, the family at Mama’s Farmhouse is here for your holiday dinner.
3. Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant
(Open – 11am to 4pm)
Try something different this holiday with a visit to Puckett’s of Pigeon Forge. These guys are ready for your family and have the feast for you to dig into. A former 50’s style grocery story that has been converted into the ultimate music venue and restaurant is waiting for you.
From Seafood to Southern Fried Chicken, Puckett’s has the meal for you. Check out their Thanksgiving menu and enjoy a more model environment with your family and friends. They even have burgers and, of course, Tennessee Favorites for you to indulge on.
Want to get even more creativity this year with your family. How about reserving a private dining room, or even better, their Puckett’s Trolley. Officially known as Trolley Parton, this trolley converted food truck is ready to host your private event.
4. Hatfield & McCoy Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud
(Open – Normal Hours)
Want to fill your holiday with some laughs? Then you have to check out our friends at Hatfield & McCoy’s Family Feud. Their Christmas Disaster Dinner Feud will have you falling out of your seats in laughter. These entertainers will make your family arguments look like a minor disagreement.
To top off the event is the menu you can dive into. Enjoy the tastes of Fried Chicken, BBQ Pork, Creamy Soup, Mashed Taters, Corn on the Cob, and the famous Granny’s Famous Specialty Dessert. The food will keep your belly full and the entertainment will keep a smile on your face.
What could be better for the holidays than to sit back with your family and watch someone else argue and fight for a change.
