The must-see Holiday Event of the Smoky Mountains
No holiday is complete without a visit to Pigeon Forge’s famous Pigeon Forge WinterFest. This 32nd Annual event will engulf you and your family in a holiday wonderland. From November 10th to Feb 20, 2022, you can enjoy holiday lights, Christmas shows, and the pure joy of the holiday.
Here are a few areas and shows to visit during this magical time of year.
1. Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas
Immerse yourself in the holiday while riding Dollywood’s signature rides, walking through the winter wonderland of the park, and tasting the holiday delights of Christmas themed menus. Year after year, Dollywood brings its guests into a holiday environment that will keep you smiling from one end of the park to the other.
Enjoy Holiday shows, singing, and dancing that will not only put you in the Christmas spirit, but keep you there all day long. These award-winning shows include:

2. Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland
Decked out with lights for miles, the Smoky Mountain WinterFest in Sevierville, TN will help you get into the holiday spirit as it presents Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland. With hundreds of thousands of lights that will illuminate your driving path from start to finish, this local favorite will now become your new tradition.
With a mixture of traditional music, these lights will dance along with you as you drive through this show that cannot be described, only experienced. You will not only enjoy the Christmas trees lit up, but hundreds of finely crafted holiday art and sculptures that will amaze all ages. You will be talking about this show for holidays to come.
3. Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade
On December 3rd, you have to get a great spot to watch Gatlinburg’s most popular holiday event, their Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade! A family fun time that will have you entertained from beginning to end.
Rolling through downtown Gatlinburg, you and your family will witness floats decorated for the holiday and covered with one-of-a-kind LED light displays. You will get to see marching bands, large balloons, dancers of all ages, and popular holiday characters.
This festival has been named a “Top 20 Event in the Southeast”, so you know it is a must see event. Don’t miss this parade when you are in town for the holidays.
4. WinterFest on The Island in Pigeon Forge
Brand new for 2021 is the WinterFest at The Island in Pigeon Forge. This festive new show will take place every night at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm. This will give you options so you don’t miss their wonderful show and lights.
The 23-acre complex will come alive with millions of lights. Each glimmer will add a little bit of holiday spirit to you and your family. To top it all off, there is a 100% chance of snow every night.

5. Winter Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales
Starting after Thanksgiving, you must stop by Gatlinburg during 6pm to 11pm and take part in the holiday entertainment presented by the Winter Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales event. Filled with street performers entertaining guests with holiday music, dancing, popular holiday characters, and storytellers for all different time periods. This event will keep you entertained with every step you take.
Dance along with the entertainers, take a seat and listen to the tales, or just enjoy the sights, sounds, and pure holiday joy. No matter what gives you that Christmas Spirit, the performers during the Winter Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales event has something to help bring you to that magic moment.
