2025 Nomination Guidlines

Tourism Business of the Year Guidelines:

This award is designed to honor a tourism business that has made a substantial
contribution to the Greater Pigeon Forge Region. Nominees must be a member in good standing
of the Greater Pigeon Forge Chamber of Commerce, and the business must be open for a
minimum of one year and receive more than 50% of its income from visitors.
Criteria for Selection:
– Shows innovation and creativity in sales, marketing, and promotions
– Strong emphasis on company culture and customer service
– Serves and supports the local community
– Strives to improve product and service
Additional criteria: Business must be open for business for at least one year and a member of
the Chamber for at least one year. Previous winners are not eligible for three years.

Non-Tourism Business of the Year Guidelines:

This award is designed to honor a Non-Tourism business that has made a
substantial contribution to the Greater Pigeon Forge Region. Nominees must be a member in
good standing of the Greater Pigeon Forge Chamber of Commerce and the business must be
open for a minimum of one year and receive more than 50% of its income from local residents.
Criteria for Selection:
– Shows innovation and creativity in sales, marketing, and promotions
– Strong emphasis on company culture and customer service
– Serves and supports the local community
– Strives to improve product and service
Additional criteria: Business must be open for business for at least one year and a member of
the Chamber for at least one year. Previous winners are not eligible for three years.

Community Organization of the Year Guidelines:

This award is designed to honor any non-profit charity or civic organization that
positively impacts the Greater Pigeon Forge Region. Nominees must be a member in good
standing of the Greater Pigeon Forge Chamber of Commerce and the organization must be in
operation for a minimum of one year. 
Criteria for Selection:
– Serves and supports the local community
– Visible in the community
– Exhibits leadership in the community

Business Person of the Year Guidelines:

This award is designed to honor a person who promotes the Greater Pigeon Forge
region through outstanding service, participation in civic, charitable, business, educational or
other activities, over and above normal work assignments. This person must be an active
representative of a member business in good standing of the Greater Pigeon Forge Chamber of
Commerce and an active participant for a minimum of one year. 
Criteria for Selection:
– Leadership – Is a leader not only within their organization but in the community
– Resilience – Has a consistent history of serving as a business leader in the community
– Excellence – Has consistently demonstrated skill to achieve success in business
– Innovation – Possesses an ability to creatively solve problems and think outside-the-box
– Community Involvement – Is heavily invested and active in the community
Additional criteria: Businessperson must have been associated with a Chamber member
business for the prior full calendar year. This can be multiple businesses if all businesses have
been in membership with the Pigeon Forge Chamber
