Fall is finally here. Cooler temperature bring family activities indoors. For many, baking delicious desserts is always a favorite. We are happy to share a couple of our Member businesses signature dessert recipes with you.

Southern Pecan Pie served at the Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant
1 9” Pie Shell
3 Large Eggs
½ Cup Butter (melted)
1 Cup Pecan Pieces
¼ Teaspoon Vanilla
¾ Cup Sugar
1 Cup Corn Syrup
Spread the pecans in the pie shell. Combine all of the other ingredients in a separate bowl. Once combined, pour into the pie shell.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes until set. Best served warm but not hot.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 40 minutes
Total time: 45 minutes
TIP: You can add 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and have chocolate pecan pie.

Pumpkin Cheesecake
1 1/2 Cup Graham Cracker Crumbs
1 Cup Ground Pecans
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/2 Cup Melted Butter
Combine & press into bottom of 9-10″ Spring Form pan. Set aside.
In a mixer combine:
24 oz. cream cheese
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Vanilla
1 Cup Canned Pumpkin
3 Eggs
1 Cup Pecan Pieces
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon Ginger
Pour into prepared crust; bake 1 hour & 15 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool several hours before serving
Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Allow several hours to cool
