Join Alcatraz East Crime Museum on September 12, 2026, for a special presentation with internationally award-winning inventor, researcher, lecturer, author, and forensic examiner Arthur Bohanan.
Bohanan will share his first-hand experience assisting at Ground Zero following the September 11, 2001, attacks, offering guests a unique perspective on the forensic work that followed the tragedy.

Arthur Bohanan will speak twice throughout the day:
- 12:00–12:30 p.m.
- 1:30–2:00 p.m.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear Bohanan’s personal experiences, learn about his work as a forensic examiner, and ask questions during the presentation. The presentations are included with regular museum admission.
About Arthur Bohanan
A sixth-generation Sevier County native, Arthur M. Bohanan was one of the first six responders from Tennessee to travel to Ground Zero following the September 11 attacks.
As a Certified Latent Print Examiner and Senior Forensic Examiner, Bohanan and his team were tasked with recovering and identifying victims of the World Trade Center attacks. Throughout his career, he also worked with the Knoxville Police Department while developing forensic techniques that continue to be used by researchers today.
