Watch the sidewalks of The Island in Pigeon Forge come alive with color, creativity, and imagination during the 11th Annual Chalkfest on Saturday, September 26, 2026!
This free, family-friendly celebration transforms The Island into a vibrant outdoor art gallery as talented artists create incredible chalk masterpieces right before your eyes. From intricate designs and vibrant artwork to mind-bending 3D illusions, guests can watch the creative process unfold throughout the day.
This year’s theme, “Once Upon a Sidewalk,” invites artists to bring their favorite stories to life. Expect everything from beloved fairy tales and storybook legends to magical kingdoms, mythical creatures, enchanted forests, and original fantasy worlds.
Watch, Create & Vote
Chalkfest welcomes artists of all ages and skill levels, from experienced professionals and students to families working together. Registered artists receive a designated concrete square, professional soft pastel chalk, event support, and a complimentary 11th Annual Chalkfest artist T-shirt.
Visitors can also get involved by voting for their favorite artwork throughout the day. Public voting helps determine the winners across Elementary, Middle School, High School, Adult, and Team categories, including the coveted People’s Choice Award.
