Over the weekend, Anakeesta in Gatlinburg opened their newest addition: Astra Lumina. This immersive nighttime experience is the 15th of its kind in the world, and the first in the United States. This combination of lighting, projection, and sound will make for an experience that you will never forget.
With eight different celestial experiences, this one mile walk through the forest is one that the family can enjoy. Watch as stars fall to earth and walk through rays of stardust. Make sure to wrap up the experience by taking a photo in the photobooth.
If you cannot find time to go in the near future, there is no need to worry! Astra Lumina is a permanent installation at Anakeesta that will operate seasonally. It will be closed through January and February, but it will reopen in early March.
Astra Lumina is not included in the general admission price, but discounted combo tickets are sold that grant access to both Anakeesta and Astra Lumina. Those who purchase tickets for after 5:00pm will receive an even higher discounted rate. Annual passholders will receive 20% off Astra Lumina tickets.
It is recommended that guests arrive 30 minutes prior to their scheduled time. Although there are no refunds, Anakeesta is happy to work with guests to reschedule if they are unable to attend. Guests should wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes. Astra Lumina is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.
