Celebrate the sights, sounds and traditions of Appalachia at the Townsend Fall Heritage Festival. Set against the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, this free community festival brings family and friends together for a weekend filled with Bluegrass and mountain music, arts and crafts, Appalachian demonstrations and Southern food.
Enjoy traditional and contemporary Bluegrass performances, clogging and square dancing, old-fashioned children’s games, and demonstrations showcasing time-honored Appalachian skills and traditions. Festival-goers can also browse local arts and crafts and enjoy Southern favorites such as fried pies and kettle corn.
