Build your skills and confidence in the great outdoors during this hands-on Branch Out experience focused on the fundamentals of hiking and backpacking. Whether you’re new to the trail or looking to sharpen your skills, this full-day program offers practical knowledge to help you safely and responsibly enjoy the wilderness.
The day begins with a classroom session covering essential topics like trip planning, what to pack, trail etiquette, wildlife awareness, and how to handle changing weather and terrain. Participants will then head outdoors to a nearby trail to practice these skills in a real-world setting while gaining a deeper appreciation for the natural environment.
