Exciting news for mountain adventure lovers: Anakeesta will partially reopen to the public starting March 9, 2026! Guests can once again experience the beauty of the Smoky Mountains with access to the mountaintop park via the scenic Ridge Rambler adventure trucks.

During this initial phase, visitors will reach the summit exclusively on the Ridge Rambler, enjoying an immersive journey up the mountain. Firefly Village (including the Smokehouse restaurant and select retail locations) will remain closed temporarily for construction. Additional attractions, dining, and retail experiences will gradually reopen in preparation for Anakeesta’s full spring reopening.

Timed-entry tickets will be required to help manage crowds and ensure a smooth experience. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance to secure their preferred arrival time and make the most of their day.

“This partial reopening is an exciting milestone for our team and our guests,” said Anakeesta President Bryce Bentz. “We’re thrilled to welcome visitors back to the mountain beginning March 9, and we’re building toward an even bigger moment later this spring.”

What’s Coming This Spring: Full Reopening & New Experiences

Anakeesta’s full spring reopening promises even more excitement. A highlight will be the debut of the Crystal Express, a state-of-the-art gondola system with 56 sleek glass cabins that offer panoramic views of downtown Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. Guests will enjoy a smooth, modern ride to the summit like never before.

Another exciting addition is the Firefly Experience, an immersive attraction inspired by the magical glow of fireflies in the Smokies. Using cutting-edge lighting and design, this attraction brings the wonder of the Smoky Mountains’ beloved seasonal phenomenon to life year-round through storytelling and nature-inspired moments.

For a limited time, general admission tickets include unlimited rides on both of Anakeesta’s mountain coasters. This gives thrill-seekers the opportunity to experience nonstop adventure while the park ramps up for its full reopening.
