Halloween is just around the corner and you may be thinking of the perfect family costume and some fun plans to go along with it! While planning the right look, be sure to plan the best place to be. You may be surprised to know that there’s some great things to do for Halloween in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Whether you’re looking for family friendly activities or looking to get a good scare, The Smokies have it all! Here are a list of things to do this Halloween here in the Great Smoky Mountains! Be sure to add any of these to your list this season.
Spooktacular Halloween Event and Safety Day
Where: Pigeon Forge Community Center
This an annual Halloween tradition is a must for all families! It’s a non- scary and family friendly event for kids to go trick or treating. Local businesses will be in attendance and decorated for halloween with fun displays. The businesses in attendance will also be handing out candy for all trick or treaters. In addition to all the candy, your family can enjoy a costume contest, hayrides, and even a haunted maze! Be sure to head out to the Pigeon Forge Community Center on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 from 4-9pm.
Trick or Treating at The Island in Pigeon Forge
Where: The Island in Pigeon Forge
Trick or treating at Island rides and select Island stores. Trick or treating will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Thursday, October 31st, 2024. Participating locations will be marked with a special sticker. There will be a special Halloween fountain show, spooky music around the Island, and a “buy one get one free” special on the Island unlimited rides pass for all those in costume. This special will be available for the entire day.
Crave Golf Club Craveyard Nights
Where: Crave Golf Club
Enjoy Craveyard Nights at Crave Golf Club From September 27 to October 31. Enjoy 35 nights of Halloween-themed mini-golf with spooky adventures, pumpkin painting, face painting, and encounters with eerie characters. Explore haunted holes, crack codes in the Zombie Escape Room, and snap photos in the chilling “Craveyard.” Special Saturday events feature extra treats and costumed characters.
Ripley’s Fright Nights
Where: Ripley’s Haunted Adventure
Come out for the 25th annual Fright Nights event all October long. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday you can enjoy a frightening good time at Ripley’s Haunted Adventure. Friday and Saturday the Fright Night Event is open from 4:00pm-11:00pm and Sunday the Event runs from 1:00pm-9:00pm. Fright Nights is an attraction geared towards children 12 and older, and all attendees must be at least 6 years of age to enter the haunted house. Can you handle this haunted adventure?
Rocky Top Mountain Coasts and Goblins
Where: Rocky Top Mountain Coaster
Head to Rocky Top Mountain Coaster for their spooky new annual event! Each Friday and Saturday night throughout the month of October, you can twist and turn through the spookiest mountain coaster in the Smokies. Sitting on over 20 acres of beautiful Smoky Mountain scenery, this coaster features plenty of tunnels, curves, and 360 degree turns. Reaching speeds of up to 30 mph, this attraction is projected to set records as the longest coaster in East Tennessee.
Great Pumpkin LumiNights
Where: Dollywood
Of course, we couldn’t forget about this one! Witness thousands of pumpkins fill the park for Dollywood’s popular event, The Great Pumpkin LumiNights! Meet friendly characters, learn how to carve the perfect pumpkin, and also enjoy glow in the dark face painting from the friendly faces at Dollywood. Family friendly pumpkins and scenes will fill Timber Canyon and Wildwood Grove for the beloved festival. The Great Pumpkin LumiNights will run through October 28th! Not only will you find fall inspired treats, but also photo opportunities, and characters. Additionally, you can experience the fall decorations, pumpkins, delicious foods, and of course, the thrilling rides at Dollywood!
