6 Bed and Breakfasts That Will Make Your Vacation

For many of us, bed and breakfasts are something we’ve always considered staying, but never made the jump.

Innkeepers report many first-timers saying that the first time they stayed at a B&B, they were nervous. Several people said the only exposure to B&B’s they had were from TV shows or movies, so they really didn’t know what to expect when they arrived.

But after reading the guest-books, it became clear, after living the B&B experience first-hand, everyone who was apprehensive emerged recharged, refreshed, and as regular customers.

From the breathtaking backdrops, to the relaxing environment, to the intimate setting and, of course, the world-class breakfasts, bed and breakfasts offer a unique and engrossing experience perfect for anyone looking to escape the rigors of daily life or capture the perfect romantic atmosphere.

So, to help you find the perfect B&B for your next Pigeon Forge adventure we’ve put together a list of the 7 best B&B’s, lodges, and inns in the Pigeon Forge area. These awesome lodgings aren’t listed in any particular order.

1. Foxtrot Bed and Breakfast

Foxtrot Bed and Breakfast in Gatlinburg

Found at the crest of a mountain, tucked in a thicket of trees you will find Foxtrot Bed and Breakfast, a B&B that offers gourmet breakfast and spectacular views to its visitors. Housed at 1520 Garrett Lane, Gatlinburg, TN, this B&B is well known for its peaceful setting and attention to detail.

The bed and breakfast offers four rooms for its guests, each with its own bathroom and refrigerator. These rooms include a honeymoon suite with a two-person whirlpool tub, a deluxe king room with an amazing view, an executive suite with a sleeper sofa in a separate sleeping room, and another deluxe king room with a Jacuzzi tub.

The gourmet breakfasts and amazing views will be a high point of your vacation. Foxtrot is one of the few B&Bs in the area that offer a formally trained gourmet chef – they constantly shifting their menu, so even if you stay for two weeks or more, you’ll never see the same meal twice. On the back porch, you’ll be stricken by the amazing mountain views of Mt. LeConte. This inspirational view has brought many famous authors to the inn, so you may see a favorite author next time you go!

The owners pride themselves on the individualized service they provide to their customers. “We’re a 24-hour concierge’s service,” said Shirley, co-owner with her husband and chef of the B&B, “If a guest requests something specific, we’re going to do our best to provide it.”

Probably the most striking feature of the B&B is its amazing view. From its large decks, you can catch panoramic views of the surround Smoky Mountains. You’ll also be surprised by the wealth of amenities offered by the four rooms of the B&B. From king beds with pillow tops to large flat screen HD TVs to Blu-Ray players, fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, steam showers, and even a fitness room! Below the deck and outside the kitchen you can enjoy beautifully decorated gardens, each with an awesome water feature.

The innkeeper wants to make sure her guests are consistently entertained, as evidenced by the “Day Trip” page of her website, where she lists some awesome activities for guests. She also maintains an extensive calendar of events, where she works hard to combine the events from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Townsend, Maryville, the Great Smoky Mountain Heritage Center, and the Clayton Center for the Arts into one comprehensive calendar!

Breakfast at the B&B is an elegant three course meal. The owner prides herself on providing a unique experience every morning, so she offers a constantly changing menu, different china and flower arrangements each morning, and four different eating areas!
