With thousands of families visiting our area every weekend, go-kart tracks are one of the most popular attractions in Pigeon Forge, and is actually the most popular motorsport in the country! In fact, nearly 35 million Americans race go-karts each year. Driving down the Parkway, you may find yourself overwhelmed with the options it has to offer for you and your family. That’s why we’ve compiled this list of the best go-kart tracks in town, so you can get right to having fun.

Nascar Speedpark

When it comes to family fun, there are few places in the Smokies that are as diverse as Nascar Speedpark. For one admission price, patrons get access to 25 family attractions, including unlimited rides on any of its 8 go-kart tracks! 2016 saw the introduction of brand new and improved go-karts for five of their go-kart tracks (The Intimidator, SlideWayz, Young Champions, The Qualifier, and Baby Bristol). The variety of different tracks offer experiences that fit would-be racers of all ages, from kiddie tracks, like Baby Bristol, to fast-paced action, like the quarter-mile Smoky Mountains Speedway, where drivers man a 3/8-scale version of an actual Sprint Cup Car!

When you’re done racing go-karts, there are still so many things to do at Nascar Speedpark! You should definitely check out the brand-new Spin Zone Bumper Cars, a literal twist on your typical bumper cars where you spin 360 degrees when you’re hit! There are also the Speed Bumper Boats, featuring new boats in 2016 as well as a revamped arena.

Kids will love the SpeedDome Arcade, which features the hottest arcade games. Inside you’ll also find a huge rock wall alongside the arcade to challenge yourself, as well as the Starship 3000. Outside, kids can enjoy two 18-hole mini golf courses, as well as a wide variety of kid rides, like the Rockingham Railroad or the Tilt-a-Whirl!

The Track Family Fun Park and Arcade

The Track Family Fun Park and Arcade is the perfect place to take your family go-karting. They offer two different tracks for the adults, as well as two tracks oriented towards kids. The first track, also named ‘The Track,’ is your standard go-karting road way with twists, turns, and an underpass.

The Track also offers two tracks specifically oriented towards kids: Kiddie Karts and Rookie Karts. You only have to be 3 ft. and 4 ft. tall to drive on the Kiddie Karts and Rookie Karts respectively, and they are an awesome option for that independent kid wanting to drive herself.

The star of the show at The Track is the Wild Woody. This monster of a raceway is a three-story, spiraling wooden track. You’ll hit awesome speeds on this track, and catch some great views of Pigeon Forge!

On top of the go-kart racing, there are plenty of other awesome things to check out at The Track. They have an on-site arcade, bumper cars, water bumper boats, two 18-hole mini-golf courses, and a huge area with for the kids called Kids Country, featuring kiddie rides and the Pigeon River Express kid’s locomotive!

Bear Country Fun Park

As the name suggests, Bear Country Fun Park is a center of family fun. Located on the Parkway before you reach te Spur, the park features the “Big Bear” Go-Kart Track, a three story racing adventure with single and double go-karts that offers dips, thrills, and turns that will get your heart pumping.

The park also offers lots of other fun activities, like their Blaster Boats with water cannons, perfect for a sweltering summer day. They also have a special area for the kids, called Cub Country. Cub Country has lots of awesome rides for the kids, like the Country Carousel, Jungle Swings, and a kids go-kart track. Kids only have to be 3’ tall to enjoy the Cub Country rides, so even your littlest ones will love it. Taking a step inside, you’ll find the Country Barn arcade, which has a huge floor of awesome arcade games that fit anyone’s tastes. While you’re there be sure to check out the huge bear outside and grab a picture!

Fun Stop Family Action Park

Fun Stop Family Action Park is an action-packed family fun destination on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. The park features more than 18 attractions, including its four fast go-kart tracks. The tracks it offers includes the legendary Elevated Track, which takes riders on a fun-filled loop, as well as two slick tracks and a Junior Track for kids.

All of the go-kart parks in this list offer family-fun outside of racing, like Fun Stop’s mini-golf course.

You’ll also find plenty of other family activities at the park as well. They feature an awesome arcade, called the Big Top Arcade, complete with all your favorite arcade games and awesome prizes. They also have a mini-golf course on site for families to enjoy in addition to a plethora of family-friendly and thrill rides. Some of their rides include the Dragon Wagon, the Bungee Trampoline, and the Soaring Eagle Zipline!

Adventure Raceway

Adventure Raceway has been offering a family-friendly go-kart experience since 1985. The elevated wooden three-story tack is a landmark of the Parkway, and takes drivers up the spiral to “The Hump” and then down a spiral. You’ll catch awesome views of Pigeon Forge from the top of the track, and will feel the centrifugal force as you travel up and down the spirals. The ride lasts for about 5 minutes, too, so you’ll definitely get a ride worth your money.

Along with go-karts, Adventure Raceway offers its visitors a cool way to beat the summer heat with its Bumper Boats, complete with water sprayers. The raceway is also open until midnight, so night owls will be happy that their go-kart adventures won’t be stymied by the dark.

Cooter’s Place

Come to Cooter’s Place in Gatlinburg and see all things Dukes of Hazzard, including catching a ride on the indoor Go Kart track! While you are visiting, be sure to see the indoor Hazzard Country Club 18-hole Mini Golf course, Cooter’s Garage, the museum filled with pictures, props, costumes, memorabilia and more! You can even take a picture with the famous General Lee! Cooter’s Place also often brings the stars of the famous show Dukes of Hazard, into the museum for visitors to meet, so you might even get to see a celebrity!
