Is a Sandwich a Book or Is a Book a Sandwich? invites participants to think differently about what defines a book while learning practical bookbinding techniques in a fun\, hands-on setting. \nThe workshop begins with a brief look at the history and evolution of books\, exploring both traditional and unconventional formats. From there\, participants will dive into creating their own handmade sketchbooks while learning several simple binding techniques that can easily be recreated at home. \nThroughout the evening\, guests will craft four small sketchbooks while practicing a variety of binding styles\, including Japanese Stab Binding\, Coptic Binding\, the Pamphlet Stitch\, and a Zine Template.
