Returning as part of Gatlinburg’s holiday festivities\, this family-friendly event transforms the Little Pigeon River into a fun and competitive racecourse for hundreds of unmanned floatables. \nParticipants and spectators alike are invited to enjoy the excitement as rubber ducks and creative floating entries race downstream through the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. Whether you’re competing for a trophy or simply cheering from the riverbank\, the River Raft Regatta offers a unique and memorable way to celebrate Independence Day. \nEvent Schedule\n11:00 AM – Registration Opens\nFormer Christ in the Smokies Museum \n1:00 PM – River Raft Regatta Begins \nFinish Line – Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies \nHow to Participate\nEnter the race by renting a rubber duck or bringing your own floatable creation. \n\n$2 for one duck entry\n$5 for three duck entries\nPersonal float entries are welcome at no additional cost\n\nAll proceeds from the event benefit the Gatlinburg Chamber Foundation\, helping support community initiatives throughout the area. \nAwards & Categories\nTrophies will be awarded to the top finishers and most creative entries in categories including: \n\nTreasure Category\nDuck Category\nMost Creative Float\n\nA Fourth of July Tradition\nFor generations\, families\, visitors\, and locals have gathered along the river to watch this lighthearted competition unfold.
