DESCRIPTION:Colorful Turned Candlesticks (Ages 11+)\nFebruary 21\, 2026Family-Friendly WorkshopMedium: Wood | WoodturningCourse Fee: $18 \nSpend the day creating beautiful\, hand-turned votive candlestick holders perfect for your next gathering. In this hands-on workshop\, participants will learn the basics of woodturning\, including shop safety and foundational techniques\, before crafting their own simple candlestick forms. \nTo finish\, students will personalize their pieces using vibrant milk paints\, adding a colorful touch that makes each project uniquely their own. This workshop is ideal for youth ages 11 and up\, as well as adults who want to learn alongside them. \nThanks to the generous support of the Fleur Bresler Scholarship Endowment\, $94 has been deducted from the standard youth tuition cost\, making this class just $18 for youth participants. \nYouth Registration & Safety Information\nArrowmont is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all young artists. All instructors teaching youth workshops undergo background checks. \nTo ensure smooth check-in and dismissal procedures: \n\n\nParents/guardians must complete the registration form using the parent’s contact information as the primary contact. \n\n\nThe form allows you to designate an additional approved adult for drop-off and pick-up. \n\n\nAny authorized adult must sign the child in and out of class. \n\n\nFor youth ages 16–18 who will be driving themselves\, please complete the registration form as outlined above and list the student as the approved drop-off/pick-up individual. \n\n\nStudents under 16 may not check themselves out. \n\n\nStudents without a valid driver’s license must be signed in and out by an adult. \n\n\nJoin us for a creative\, colorful day in the wood studio and leave with a handmade centerpiece to cherish. \nLearn more – https://arrowmont.org/workshop/colorful-turned-candlesticks-ages-11/
